                                                                                                                   - A quote from the movie “Kate and Leopold”. Leo, the duke tells this to JJ, the manager of Kate (Meg Ryan).

Such a powerful sentence to tell this to a boss in front of a lady employee. But I am inspired.

I do not have a lady rather anybody working under me. This is a reference for futureJ.

Movies and Presentation

Two days, four movies, all Hollywood and the actress, Meg Ryan.

1. Kate and Leopold
2. Proof of Life
3. Against the ropes
4. You’ve got mail (saw it n^th time))

This young lady definitely made an impression on me. And as I collected a DVD of eight Meg Ryan movies I tried my best to look for a Meg Ryan face in the entire girls’ I came across. Just joking!

But yes, they make very good movies in Hollywood. They act well, even Bollywood has good actors but in Hollywood, presentation matters. That’s what I believe in my short association with Hollywood movies. Even the presentation for Indian directed Hollywood movies are superb. Mira Nair’s “Namesake” falls in this category. 

Just to extend this thought in our professional lives we build many good things, we do beautiful designs, spend a whole lot time understanding the system in and out. But what is the lacking in Indian context I believe, is presentation*. So, will take a clue from here, will present myself, my work better in all aspects. 

So, I have promised myself to watch some more Hollywood movies and cut down on Bollywood ones. It is close to 4 months I have watched a Hindi movie, but eagerly awaiting Amir’s “Taare Zameen Par”. I am sure this guy has made Hollywood standards his bench mark. 

* Presentation and communication are two different things.
